number 101 white (and black) wedding

there was a wedding - black and white, masks, big, small, loud, any type of mask you could think of.

on route to the party, 2 of us, sat in the back of a cab. looking at each other in our white dresses, both knowing what the other was thinking - i hope they don't think we want to be the bride??? shit. oh well, it was too late and we were running late, and my only black dress was scrunched up down the bottom of a checked washing bag somewhere in an old cupboard in newport.

as we walked up the stairs we were greeted with 'oh they are here' - i looked back at my partner 'yep, knew it, we look like the want to be brides, just confirmed'...

my camera ran out just when the fun started to get going. someone who had a ned kelly mask thought it was really funny to bang it really hard when it was on my head - including a kimberly who came running from across the other side of the dance floor to give it another big old funny whack just as i was taking it off (i felt like saying, how about we put your head in your base drum while i see if the foot peddle is working, hey, hey??)...i got spun around pretty good by dan, who managed to sling me under a table well into the dancing stage of the night. i am pretty sure we boo'd when we had to leave, because no one wanted to go...i didn't hear the speeches, but i am sure they were amazing just as the bride and groom themselves were.

nice work jo and sinead - it was a fun fun fun party, all in honor of your love for each other, CONGRATULATIONS!!!
