when you ask someone something and they say no, often you might ask it again but in a different way to make what you asked not sound awkward...usually the second time you ask ends up coming out completely wrong...
i asked if someone wanted to ride me home, because i thought it was the right thing to say in the lull of the conversation, and doubling is fun all the time...to which they said no. so i then said, i could so ride you home, to which i laughed out loud, because of the double take i was given.
the silence after was pretty amazing, that i had to say it again. well i could totally ride you home, but i didn't mean it like that, and i am really good at doubling...
god it just kept getting better, but totally worse.
