number 385 leave your shoes at the door.
the first time i came to new york i stayed on one hundred and something. there was a mosquito plague and the dollar was 45c. star bucks cost $10 for a mint mocha frosty freezy and i remember going to an exhibition somewhere filled with loads and loads of framed pink drawings...
today i picked up a package from that man who drew all those pink drawings...unusual, a little.
the sign at his front door, said 'leave your shoes at the front door'. i took my shoes off. china town stinks dirty, no way you want any of that grime or spit in your bed. as i stood there in my socks he just kept asking me if a wanted a vitamin water and if i liked cats. i was like 'yes i like cat's' to which he responded, 'this is a white cat'. i was like yep it sure is a white cat...
