i've had my fortune read a couple of times. i have been to see tarot card readers. i went to the mountains and got an astrology chart done, leaving thinking, 2013 is a hell of a long time away! when i was in year 7, some girls when down in to the spooky shower block and called on a dead teacher to levitate diana weaverly - they levitated her, and freaked the hell out of the other kids. diana growled, bit someone, got suspended and then her family moved back to america.

when my mum was a teenager she played a ouija board, asking who she would marry, and it spelt out 'WEI', my dads initials. my grandmother was crazy about this one fortune teller, and she would only ever tell us this this after she returned 'darling they know things that no one could ever know!' oma had some really good skeletons, we have since learned.

it's always like a small test when you sit down. you being the tester - ok i'm not going to say a word, don't give anything away...so as i got drawn in on melrose place to a small sign that said 'palm readings $10' and turned over my palms i was ready to let it all begin!

i was trying really hard not to focus on if her earrings were actually real cartier and how thick her acrylics were...but when she looked at me and said 'who is the light haired man?' hmm this could now be interesting. more swords, a magician, the grim reaper, more swords, and the light haired man...again! she is like 'gurl who is this light haired man???'

so then - i could see that this was wrapping up. she'd told me everything without me battering even one little eye lid...'what i need for you to do is come and see me. this is something that you can do at home, but it is pivotal in you moving forward and not creating any blockages'...was very prepared for this part

i was there when he was chosen at birth plucked from the cat shelter. i held him in the box on the way back from newtown to his new home of amazing parents the zawadas. i was there when he was named 'phat skull'. i was even there when his dark familiar shadow appeared at our front door, relieving the pain of 3 days wondering how we would convince annie and jonathan that the cat we might be delivering back to them, was not in fact a substitute cat - but the gorgeous one they had left in our responsible hands while celebrating their love for one another in fiji.

my first proper flat mate was tall and he was called sam. back in adelaide as a young boy wondering what path his life would take, a light bulb came on when he saw iggy pop gyrating on the rage intro...he shot to fame in the early 90's with super acid jazz groove band dig and he can still slap the bass on cue.

we lived in a very big flat on campbell parade, a long time ago. annalise braakensiek was our neighbour and bondi was really happening. sam kindly gave us the front room with the view, but secretly i think he knew that people liked to throw bottles at windows 3 stories up and motorbikes used to like to crash there at 4am...

on the ground level of our building was a bank. the building decided that they wanted to remove the safe and make the bank in to a shop. every day i would sneak out of the house at the exact time that the choir of jack hammers and obscenities would chime from my bed and sam's bed down the hall.

he liked to look out the window on to the campbell pde promenade and sing a song...'touch the peni in public.' there are plenty more of these songs where this came from that he now passes on to the likes of christina aguilera and other pop stars...

it was a very beautiful wonderful grand back yard that used to belong to the kings butler. and on my first day i went to swim there. ducks and me don't mix so much, so i left it to the others.

once as a child i cried all the way up this mountain because i thought we were going to fall off. all i could envisage was barrel roll after barrel roll, down the rocky gorge and an explosion of wild proportions into a fire ball that no one would ever find.

i re lived that moment out the back of some snowy mountain, on a clear kythirian day. terrain like moon scapes, to get to a cliff edge that had a small dirt road with no end in sight - but straight down...i was like i'm cool...all i could think was the rav 4 was going to get one little wheel off the hair pin turn and barrel roll a hundred times and end up in the bottom of the rocky gorge and explode into a wild fire ball that no one would ever find!

doom, zoom - straight down was the skillful drivers technique. i just closed my eyes tight, held my breath and opened them to this! (and a couple of nudists).

there was much talk that robbie should change his name to gould. pretty much he seems like a grogan to me. the grogan gould's are an incredible duo. carnivore to the wonderful herbivore/chef extraodinaire. robbie told an amazing story of him as a 7 year old phantom of the opera obsessed child. edwina told stories of antagonising brothers to a point that caused smashing windows with dice...we played charades in a castle and drove doom zoom down a cliff to red rock. we saw a ship wreck caused by a drunk greek sailor, ate figs off trees and squashed grapes into fresh grape juice.

small planes used to scare me like crazy - now i like the feeling of a tail fanging out whilst flying low between mountains. we waited on a tarmac for 2 hours, while one propellor wouldn't start. i was happy. prefer to really know that both propellors were going to work before flying over some heaven blue water - now i think, if that plane is going to fall out of the sky, things have been good. eaten some good food, had some fun, been in love, learnt to sleep in, carried some heavy bags and got in to some trouble.

right now, changing a flight and leaving La Zawadas, to just encounter some drizzle seems pretty stupid. people boarding up their shops and taping their windows also seems kind of dramatic when there has not even been a flash of lightning...yet...mass purchasing of supplies and the only shop open with a queue around the corner was the deli on mulberry street. so i fell into the trap...all of a sudden i felt like maybe i better join in on this if i want to eat before monday. there is no one in new york. irene sure isn't here.

i can see my old house from my window and the humidity is just the same. i'm not allowed to have any parties...'Please also not walls and floors are thin and you should use caution with noise. There are to be no parties or loud music during your stay there. We have long term tenants and do not want anyone to be bothered.' got it.

so right now, there is nothing to do except stay in and wait...and play my music softer than the rain.

i once lived in new york. i had friend that liked to have fun. and i liked to have fun also. we would drink tequila and then st germain, and then more tequila. i remember drinking lots and lots of small glasses and feeling flexible, but i always wondered why my friend was more flexible than me...once we went to a place called the box. we had been asleep, and i got a text message from down the hall saying 'what are you doing?' and i responded 'well i was kind of sleeping'...'meet you in the kitchen in half'...so in the snow, we went out our door 2 steps around the corner, and into the theater. it was fun. legs swung from the rafters and you drank anyones booze. we saw a man with boobs and a chainsaw, pull a Popsicle out of his ass...and then we decided we were hungry. i tried my hardest to make my friend not eat the green mushroom pizza from the deli on the corner...but there was no stopping her.

tonight we drank tequlia. there were no popsicle's - but there was a hell of a lot of word slurring.

big show up for As Gallery...i was stupid and didn't snap the impressive lightbox on the way in. you know you're in business when you got a damn good lightbox - but something was pulling me right in to that space of holy. the crowd was there. young, old, bold, all the kinds you want at your initial gig.

bb kept getting angry at me for walking off when she was talking her head off in conversations i was invisible in, but she cooled it after she punched me on the bottom in the dark room that everyone was like 'have you been in there??!!!'. the church pews were amazing and miss millie told us a totally believable story that the guy who now owns the place is going to build a pod suspended above the pews for him and his daughter to live in. sounds pretty children of god to me...but anyone that has intentions of owning a pod has something going on.

the show was really amazing. i kept saying to the artist, 'it's like your wedding!' i'm sure he got what i meant. then we talked about moving back to new york after i had told him a million times how amazing it was...it was.

nice work you 2...the show was amazing. big shoes to fill who ever is up next.

and he used to look just like this...he was pretty cool. i would pretend he wasn't my dog when he would turn up to school and the whole playground would be 'ana larry is here again' and then the principal would throw water over him to make him go away...but he would just sit at the front gate and wait. he used to like to go to other peoples houses and eat their food so we would attach a note saying 'please don't feed me cause i don't need any more food.' only for him to come back with return notes saying 'we don't feed larry he steals the food out of the garbage!'

he went missing once, and we thought he had been stolen. he turned up 2 weeks later covered in chewing gum. he used to be able to catch cats. and had a super power jumping ability that enabled him to jump from a standing position over the fence if he knew there was a cat over there.

when he was dying my mum would feed him violet crumble bars because he used to love them. that was in the 80's when you didn't know that chocolate was like arsenic for dogs...
